Perry Edinger, PA-C, ATC is a physician Assistant in the Sports Medicine sector of the Orthopedics department. He assists the physicians with operative and non-operative care of the patients that come to the facility. He received his undergraduate degree from Eastern Illinois University and Masters from Syracuse University in Health Education. He completed his Physician Assistant studies at A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ.
Perry grew up in central Illinois and competed in track and cross country at the high school and collegiate levels. He has continued his running career and now likes to run 50 and 100 mile races. He served as the Head Athletic Trainer at Arizona State University for 14 years prior to attending Physician Assistant School.
He came to Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2014 and specializes in Running injuries and Return to play criteria for athletes injuries. He helped develop a return to play protocol for ACL injuries that involves objective and 3D video that allows parents and athletes to better understand when it is safe for return from injuries.
He also works for the NFL and Arizona State University with Concussion spotting and with Arizona State University for the Track and Field Team.
