Brian D. Kelly, M.D. is a Pediatric Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician. He specializes in non-operative treatment of musculoskeletal injuries, injury prevention, and concussion management. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. He completed a Surgery Internship at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. He then trained in Pediatrics at Phoenix Children's Hospital. To complete his specialty training, Dr. Kelly did a Fellowship in Clinical Pediatric Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital. During his fellowship, he received extra training in diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound guided injections. Dr. Kelly was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ where he participated in a variety of organized sports. Since graduating from medical school, Dr. Kelly has been actively involved in the care of athletes from youth leagues to college teams. During his fellowship he served as a team physician for Men's Hockey at Northeastern University as well as a medical provider for the Boston Marathon. He is currently the team physician for Tolleson High School and Bourgade Catholic High School. Dr. Kelly's goals include injury prevention, maximum injury rehabilitation, and the safe return to play of every athlete and patient. Dr. Kelly joined the Pediatric Sports Medicine Group at Phoenix Children's Hospital in 2015.
